The Bilka roofing underlay diffusion foil is used as an additional protective layer against dust, wind, moisture, and condensation penetrating under the roofing, for single-layer ventilated roofs.

This grey-colored foil has three layers: between two polypropylene layers, there is a membrane that is permeable to vapor diffusion but waterproof. Since the Bilka foil is vapor-permeable, it can be installed directly on insulation without forming a ventilation channel between the foil and the insulation. It can also be freely suspended, directly on rafters or battens, for roofs with slopes above 25 degrees, under normal thermal loads.

The foil is installed parallel to the eaves line, with an overlap marked on the roll edge with a colored stripe (minimum 10 cm). Installation should consider the direction of water drainage and can extend over the roof ridge. This diffusion foil withstands normal thermal loads (with proper ventilation, max 70⁰C), and the installation temperature should be between -20⁰C and 40⁰C.
